Holding the fort for Great Teaching Academy as the Principal Tutor and Chief Trainer, Mr Andy is a true-blue graduate tutor with more than 20 years of experience and versatility in various specialized subjects: Primary Maths and Science, Secondary Maths (A/E Maths), JC H1 and H2 Maths, SAT Maths, IB Maths and various International Overseas College Mathematics Courses, just to name a few.

Andy is extremely well-versed in any tuition settings, be it group or private tuition. His methodology encompasses ensuring students are well-equipped with the necessary basic skills before building competency which benefits hundreds of students.

Besides emphasizing on practising questions with understanding and a keen interest in the subjects, Andy is able to reignite students’ interest in the subjects with effective study skills. Andy holds a superb track record in producing good results even with students struggling in their studies.

Zarieo has been teaching Primary and Secondary English/Science and “A” Level General Paper since 2010.  With almost a decade of experience, his approach to teaching is hands-on and interactive as he firmly believes in developing his students to become critical thinkers and problem solvers. He is cordial and builds a rapport with his students easily as he is a proponent of positive teacher-student relationships.  His lessons are often lively and edifying as he encourages participation and discussions in class. More importantly, students under his charge are always improving their grades and develop interest in the subjects he taught them.

Zarieo holds a Bachelor of Communication in Media and Communication Studies from Murdoch University (Australia) as well as a Diploma in Teaching English (TESOL) from the London Teacher Training College and Diploma of Educational Studies (Creative Language Arts) specialising in Phonetics, Teaching Effective Grammar and Teaching Creative Writing from the College of Teachers, UK.  Being someone who believes in continuous learning and upgrading, he has also completed a Diploma Course in General Sciences.

Vanessa is a graduate tutor with more than 5 years of teaching experience, specialising in the subjects of Mathematics, Science and Physics.

Experienced in small/big groups and private tuition, Vanessa is a firm believer in instilling interest in the subjects first and subsequently building up students’ fundamental skills and knowledge. She is able to enforce students’ understanding of the subjects using creative analogies which allows them to better relate to underlying concepts. Vanessa has a good track record in producing good results with students, notably improving their grades significantly.

Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Engineering with SUTD and is also a graduate from Hwa Chong Junior College, all with a transcript full of flying colours.
